About the choir

Newcomers to our choir are always very welcome and if you are interested in singing, do come along to

The first 2 evenings are free of charge.

At present there are 28 of us. If you like to sing, whether good or not so great, come and join our choir, and it is likely that it will improve not only your singing but also, maybe your life.

We had a difficult time during the Covid epidemic and were unable to meet as a choir from March 2020 till our restart on 2 August 2021. Not one of our choir members left us during this period and all of us were delighted to be able to meet and start singing again harmoniously.

Social

Following rehearsal, a good number of us go to the Church Inn for a drink (often beer).

Venue

We rehearse  at the Womens' Centre in Ludlow, where you will receive a friendly reception.

Experience

Most of us join with little or no knowledge of written music, but after a short while we begin to acquire an elementary familiarity with it.

Choir

We are divided into 4 sections Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritones, Basses. This indicates that we usually sing 4 part harmonies, often referred to as TTBB.
